Like I said...it was a joke! However, I managed to turn the tables from complete disaster. I explained to the management that it was just one part of a three phase project.

My boss sat quietly in the background. He might as well be absent on that fateful day!

I guess my ace was that I am in real good terms with one of the big bosses and he took me seriously on the presentation. Albeit the gruel interrogation and sneers, the management approved the proposal.

Something to consider...a friend told me that I could've earned thrice as much at another corporation. Any offers then...??
